Arthur "Art" Felton Bray

Arthur (Art) Felton Bray, 71, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 4, 2019.

Art was born in Washington DC on February 28, 1948 to Charles and Alma Bray. Art proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

After his service he worked for Xerox as a technician until his retirement in 2006. Afterwards, he worked part time at a local golf course. He loved playing golf and going on golf vacations to Myrtle Beach. He enjoyed watching his teams Virginia Tech, Washington Nationals and Washington Redskins. He never turned down spending time with his family and friends. He was always a joy to be around and would do anything for anyone. His laugh will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles L Bray and his beloved doggie Gretchen.

He leaves behind a loving family including his wife of 47 years, Linda C Bray of Rocky Mount, NC, mother, Alma R Bray of Lovettsville, VA, daughter Heather M Webb (Kevin Webb) of Tarboro, NC, sister Bonni B May (Stratford May) of Gainesville, FL, brother C Locher Bray (Leah Bray) of Taylorsville, MD, sister Mary B Wagner (Edward Wagner) of Lovettsville VA, nieces and nephews, Will May and Travis May of Houston, TX, Katie White (Mark White) of Raleigh, NC, Tyler Bray (Megan Bray) of Westminster, MD, Emily Cohen (Zach Cohen) of Petaluma, CA, several grand nieces and nephews. Also his doggies TatorTot and Rose and granddoggie Caesar Webb.

A visitation will be held 6-8 pm Monday, December 9th, 2019 at Carlisle Funeral Home in Tarboro, NC. 

The family will receive friends and relatives at the home of Linda Bray, 645 Sandtrap Drive, Rocky Mount, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
