Beth Lawrence Rowland

Mrs. Bethanie “Beth” Lawrence Rowland, age 48 of Macclesfield, passed away at her home on November 5, 2018.

Beth was born in Edgecombe County on March 14, 1970 to Lawrence Scott and Faye Stallings Scott. Her biological father Lawrence passed away before she was born.

Before she was married and had devoted her life to her husband and children, she was a beautiful model for the Touch of Class Modeling Agency. She later pursued her passion to become a teacher. Beth earned an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Development from Edgecombe Community College. She later taught special education with children at Edgecombe County Public Schools for many years.

Beth was a very loving mother and wife. Being the best mother to her sons brought her so much joy. She loved being outdoors, whether it was camping, hunting, fishing, horseback riding with family and friends, or just sitting outside enjoying the view. She had a special bond with animals; dogs, cats and especially horses. Beth had many friends throughout life, friends that impacted her life in beautiful ways. She inspired them to be strong in life, even during her illness. She cherished her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband David Earl Rowland Jr., of the home; three sons Joshua Chanler Rowland, Nickolas Stallings Rowland and David Earl Rowland III, mother and father, Faye and Robert Hyman Adcox; sisters Rose and husband Edward Davis and Learie and husband Joseph Jordan; grandfather James L Scott; and a host of extended family and friends that will miss her dearly.   

The family will receive friends Friday, November 9, 2018 at the Eagles Baptist Church from 6 until 8 Pm and other times at the home.

A Celebration of Beth’s life will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 2:00Pm at Eagles Baptist Church with the interment following at Edgecombe Memorial Park.
