Bobby Brooks Harper

Mr. Bobby Brooks Harper, age 69, of Tarboro passed away on February 22, 2019 in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillie Elizabeth Walters Harper and William Edgar Harper; and a brother, George Earl Harper.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 47 years Dolores Manning Harper of the home; son, Chadwick Brooks Harper and his fiancée Mary Katherine Taylor; grandson, Jacob William Harper, nieces, Leslie Nichole Harper, Shirley Holliday and husband John, Tiffany Manning Turner and husband Jason; nephew, James Tyler Manning and wife Heather; beloved family Caprice Sterling; sister-in-law, Jackie Wells Manning; and several great nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Dr. Jonathan O’Quinn, Danny and Mary Harper. We would also like to thank his work family at Edgecombe Martin (EMC), Gordon and Judy Braxton, and the Falkland Church of God.

Bobby was a well-known gun smith in Edgecombe County, a Hunter Safety Instructor, Deacon at the Falkland Church of God, Royal Ranger Commander, known as Rainmaker. He was an avid sportsman that loved his dog Sassy Mae. He was a devoted father and husband that will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 2:00Pm in the chapel of Carlisle Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends one hour before the service. The interment will follow in Pineview cemetery, Pinetops, NC.
