Eunice Marie Webb Beach

Tarboro - Eunice Webb Beach peacefully passed away at her home on Sunday morning July 8, 2018, at the age of 89.  She was the daughter of the late John Wright and Nannie Lee Webb. 

Eunice graduated from South Edgecombe High School in 1945.  She met a young man, Jesse Beach, in 1943.  They fell in love and were married in August 1945.  She was a dedicated homemaker, loving wife, and loving mother to four children.  During this time, she worked part time at the local theaters, and also with the Tarboro Police Department as a school crossing guard. She enjoyed spending time with her family, was a wonderful cook, and was always young at heart.  In later life, she and Jesse enjoyed traveling to the beach and mountains with the family.

Eunice was preceded in death by Jesse, her husband of 68 years, her daughter Donna Beach Hale, and her brother John Ledger Webb.  She is survived by loving family which includes her sons Marshall (Jackie) Beach, J. Scott Beach, and her daughter Kathy Beach (Gary) Jones. Also, son-in-law Donnie Hale and daughter-in-law Debra Trevathan Beach.

Eunice was blessed with nine grandchildren; Don (Sylvia) Hale, Nancy Hale (Tony) Beasley, John (Margaret) Hale, Amy Beach (Andrew) Parrish, Mark (Kelly) Beach, Bill (LeeAnn) Wagner, Jeana Beach, Jessica Beach, and Luke (Heather) Jones.  She had seven great-grandchildren, Ashton (Shawn) Burdick, Caroline Hale, Jack Parrish, Nick Parrish, Jennifer (Adam) Gibson, Morgan Davis and Kelsey Jones. She also had a great-great grandchild Carter Gibson.

Eunice is also survived by her siblings, Judy Proctor, Elizabeth (Paul) Moore, Mitchell (Beulah) Webb, and Gordon (Delta) Webb, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM, Thursday, July 12 in the chapel at Carlisle Funeral Home, with Pastors Caswell Shaw and Nathan Wittman officiating.  Burial will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends and relatives at Carlisle on Thursday from 10:00 -11:30 AM immediately prior to the service, and at other times at her home, 1901 Heritage Circle.
