 Mr. John David Andrews, Jr. of Conetoe, passed away in the Vidant Pitt Hospital on March 10, 2018.

John was born March 1st 1958 in Plymouth NC. He worked for Watson Electric in Wilson for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved riding his four wheeler and golf cart with his dogs.

John had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. His last act of compassion was volunteering to help with Tender Mercies Pet Organization’s fixing up of their Mommy Birthing Doghouse. He donated building materials and did the electrical work on the doghouse. He adopted his last fur baby, Watson, from TMPO.

John is preceded in death by his mother Gloria Lee Causway Andrews and father John David Andrews Sr.

He is survived by his wife Ellyn Andrews of Conetoe, son JD Andrews III and wife Kristie of Macclesfield, daughters Charlene Barfield and husband Rikki of Crisp and Kimery Andrews and fiancé Nathan Sain of Conetoe, sisters Christine Watson and husband Lynn of Elm City and Gloria Moseley of Conetoe, five grandchildren Nicholas Andrews, Taylor Andrews, Caleb Barfield, Caden Barfield and Kenadie Barfield. He is also survived by his two fur babies,  Sassy and Watson.

The family will receive friends at Carlisle Funeral Home Tuesday night March 13, 2018 from the hours of 6 until 8 Pm and other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers memorials donations may be made to Tender Mercies Pet Organization, Po Box 249, Macclesfield NC 27852
