Martha Jackson, 81, passed away on August 28, 2018 at the Hospice Home in Greenville.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday August 31, at Falkland Church of God with the Rev. Gordon Braxton, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in the Jackson Family Cemetery, Pinetops. 

Martha Butler Jackson was born in Edgecombe County on March 16, 1937.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marvin Earl Jackson; parents, Chester and Inez Butler; and devoted son, Joseph Earl Jackson; brothers, Oscar Butler and Ray Butler.

Martha is survived by her loving family which includes her daughter, Debra Pope-Lewis and husband Bill; grandson, Jamey Pope and wife, Lorli; great-grandson, Rob Pope; son, Timothy Jackson and wife Heather, and granddaughter Skyeler, granddaughter, (daughter) Christy Jackson Farmer and husband Jerry Farmer and her children Katlyn, Cyla, Chandler Myrick, Chrisanna Burress and Jackson Webb; grandson, Joshua Jackson and girlfriend Kelly Griffin; and great-grandson, Leyland. She is also survived by two brothers, Roy Butler and Chester Butler; and two sisters, Willie Mae Rose and Lenora Langley; a special prayer partner, Debra Roberson and RN Hospice Case worker, Kim.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday at Falkland Church of God from 6:00-8:00pm.
