Mary Ann Armstrong, 70, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 at Vidant Hospice in Greenville.
She was born in Pitt County to Steven Lee Coker and Senora Neal Bell Coker on September 29, 1947.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Eugene Armstrong, brothers, Steven L. Coker and George Kelly “Doodle” Coker, a sister, Bessie “Butch” Bryant, and a very special nephew, David “Skeeter” Lee Ashe.
She is survived by brothers, Frank Coker, Robert Coker and Odis Coker (Shirley), and sisters, Debra Goff (Gary) and Edith “Dink” Sharer (Robert), sister in-law Carolyn Owens and brother in-law, Lee Owens and a host of beloved nieces, nephews and extended family.
Ann was an active member of Hobgood Pentecostal Holiness Church for many years. She loved God and her family. She loved to sew, solve crossword puzzles and in earlier years she enjoyed attending classic car shows with her husband. She had a great sense of humor that could make anyone smile.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Carlisle Funeral Home, Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 10th at the Hobgood Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Dwight Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Edgecombe Memorial Park.
