Philip Brian Johnson, age 31, of Tarboro passed away on July 12, 2019. He was born in Pitt county on November 16, 1987 to Michael and Mona Johnson.
He is survived by his mother Mona Ellis Johnson and father Michael Johnson, brothers Eric Johnson and wife Casey of Scotland Neck and Matt Johnson and wife Becca of Tarboro. A son, Theodore “Teddy” Squires of New Bern, grandparents, Raymond and Cherry Johnson of Speed and Danny and Delores Ellis of Hobgood. Nephews, Luke and Walker Johnson and nieces Olivia and Lilly Johnson, aunt and uncles: Kurt Ellis and wife Karen of Hobgood, Thomas Ellis and wife Olivia of Hobgood, David Ellis and wife Tiffany of Florida, Daniel Ellis and wife Renee of Speed, Greg Johnson and wife Amanda of Hookerton, Chris Johnson and wife Katina of Speed, and Ginny Johnson of Pinetops; and numerous cousins and extended family and friends.
Philip was an Army veteran and served his country in the 82nd Airborne.
The family will receive friends and family at the home of Michael and Mona Johnson 1806 Cutchin Farm Road, Tarboro.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Carlisle Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held Monday, July 15 at 11 AM at the Cherry Family Cemetery, 215 Three Oaks Lane, Hobgood.
