Redmond Earl Hoggard, 70, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019 at his home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3 at Carlisle Funeral Home with Reverend Johnny Hendricks officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Redmond was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert Earl Hoggard and Lou Ella Hoggard; sister, Judith E. Hoggard.
Redmond is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Pam Hoggard; daughter Lisa Hoggard Owens (John), of Tarboro; son Rodney Earl Hoggard, of Tarboro; grandchildren: Shane Clark (Courtney), of Tarboro, Kacey Hoggard, of Tarboro, Caleb Hoggard, of Ohio, Alexis Soles, of Tarboro, Gabe Hoggard, of Tarboro; great-grandchildren: Aubree and Jamie Lynn Clark, of Tarboro; brothers and sister, Elizabeth Joyner (Ben), of Scotland Neck, Granny Faye Carmichael, of Tarboro, Deloris Brown (Jimmy), of Ahoskie, Earl Hoggard (Brenda), of Georgia, Wayne Hoggard (Sarah), of Fayetteville, Danny Hoggard (Carol), of Burlington, Ricky Hoggard (Terry), of Burlington, Debbie McBroom (David), of Roxboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Redmond was a loving husband, daddy and Papa. He enjoyed spending time with his family at bluegrass festivals and NASCAR races. He loved taking his grandchildren to the mountains and spending time with his oldest grandson at motocross tracks.
Besides being a loving husband, daddy and Papa, he was also a veteran that served in Korea and fought in the Vietnam War. He also was a volunteer fireman and EMT with the Lewis Community Fire Department.
