Mr. Sylvester Lee Smith, age 58, of Oak City passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his wife Maggie Davis Smith of the home; sons, Jason Smith, Michael Smith both of the home and Grover Hudson of Rocky Mount; daughters, Brenda Havenor of Jacksonville, Fla and Denise Oakley of Greensboro; brother Ricky Smith of Tarboro; sisters Gladys Medford of Macclesfield and Patricia Burdet of Pinetops; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Sylvester’s life will be held Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 2 Pm at the Tarboro Church of God with the Rev. Sammy Wood officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday night at Carlisle Funeral Home from the hours of 7 until 9 Pm and other times at the home.
