A. Louise (Sister) Neal Harrell passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2024.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at St. Michaels Episcopal Church, with interment immediately following.
Visitation will be in the church fellowship hall prior to the service, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM.
Sister was born in Edgecombe County on November 13, 1929, to Sam and Edna Neal. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Harrell, Jr.; parents, Sam and Edna Neal; brother, Sam Neal, Jr. and Charles E. Neal; and sister, Mary Alice Neal Privette.
Sister is survived by her daughters, Theresa Harrell Eike (Marvin Eike, Jr.) and Sandra Harrell; grandson, Neal T. Eike (Sarah Castleberry); great grandchildren, Hayes Eike, India Eike; sister-in-law, Clara Neal, and brother-in-law, Neul Privette.
Sister was a dedicated, life-long member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church. She was an active member, participating in the Church Choir, Alter Guild, Church Women Group, and by serving as a Deacon. Sister worked at Carolina Telephone and Telegraph Company for 40 years prior to her retirement. She took pride in her employment at the company, as evidenced by her playing on the CT&T softball team for many years. Most importantly, Sister was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who will be missed by many.
