Greer, SC – Aldine Causway Lewis passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Mary Elizabeth Turner Causway and the loving wife of 51 years to Johnny C. Lewis.

Aldine dedicated 51 years of her life as a registered nurse, beginning her career in a local hospital before transitioning to a local nursing home, where she ultimately retired. Beyond her career, Aldine found joy in the simple moments of life. She loved playing the piano at church, sharing music with those around her. She also enjoyed quiet pastimes like working word search puzzles and feeding the hummingbirds. Aldine will be remembered for her dedication, her gentle spirit, and the love she gave to others.

She is survived by her son, Jonathan Lewis (Becky); sister-in-law, Peggy Causway; nieces, Brenda Willoughby and Sandra Ptak; special friend, Lois Hughes; loving neighbors, Lee and Ruth Ann Jordan; and her beloved hairdresser, Marcia Evans.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her stepson, Johnny D. Lewis; brothers, Stanley Causway, LR Causway, Lee Causway, and Glen Causway; and her sister, Louise Causway.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Cemetery 1298 Peach Street #1200 Tarboro, NC 27886.
