Alice Faye Lassiter, 72, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday at Carlisle Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Clemmons officiating. Burial will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Livingston Lassiter; and a daughter, Lynda Mattox, brothers William "Buddy" Griffin, Edgar "Red" Griffin, sisters Julia "Hazel" Briley, Melba "Grace" Bell, Catherine Griffin Baker. She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Lassiter Sutton, of Battleboro, Tammy Lassiter Sears (Rusty), of Old Sparta; brothers Alvin Griffin and Charles Griffin: grandchildren, Joseph Linwood Carson, Jr., of Pinetops, Chassity Carson Andrews (Robert), of Leggett, Gregory Ellis Sutton, of Battleboro, Joshua Livingston Sears, of Old Sparta; 6 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday from 7:00-9:00pm at Carlisle Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Carlisle Funeral Home, Inc., of Tarboro.
