Alice Faye Overton, 78, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026.

Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00pm on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Carlisle Funeral Home with the service following at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Edgecombe Memorial Park.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, James Andrew and Annie Overton.

She is survived by her brother, William Overton; sons, Phillip Hamilton and Joe Hamilton; 3 granddaughters; and 2 great grandchildren.

Alice will be remembered as a loving sister, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother whose warmth and strength touched everyone around her. She had a vibrant spirit and a deep love for life, which she expressed through her passion for senior games. Alice not only participated with enthusiasm but excelled, earning many medals over the years. Among her proudest achievements was triumphing over a state champion, a moment she carried with both pride and humility.
