Alice Barnes Woodruff, 89, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2018.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 2:00pm in the Edgecombe Memorial Park Mausoleum.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Calvin Woodruff; daughter, Kay Whitehurst and husband George; sons, Mike Woodruff, Jeff Woodruff and wife Carol; grandchildren, Patrick Whitehurst and wife Morgan, Morgan Edmundson and husband Joey, Paige King and husband Michael, Barrett Woodruff, James Woodruff, Allison DeSantis and husband Robert; great-grandchildren, Caroline and Jonathan Whitehurst, Zackary Ellis, Nathan Ellis and Jacob Bass; sister, Betty Temple.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011 or the American Diabetes Association, 1300 Baxter St.-Suite150, Charlotte, NC 28204.

The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service in the mausoleum on Saturday; and other times at the home of George and Kay Whitehurst, 601 S. Howard Circle, Tarboro, NC 27886.
