A. Earl Driver passed away peacefully on June 3, 2024.  Earl was born to Carl and Jessie Driver on October 13, 1941, in Wilson County, NC.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Billy Driver, and sister Ruby Pearl Dixon.  He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Linda Lou Scott Driver, son Martin (Marty) Earl Driver, Sr., sister Barbara Driver Norris, brother Kenneth Wade (Pat), grandchildren Marty Driver Jr., Kevin Driver, Austin Driver, Emily Driver, five great-grandchildren, and his Uncle Albert Boykins.

Earl was a loving husband, father and granddaddy who will be dearly missed by his family who loved him immensely.  He enjoyed show cars, especially his 1956 Sky Blue Chevrolet, and won over 300 trophies in competitions.  He loved fishing, watching Nascar, and was a mechanic who loved tinkering with his cars.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Carlisle Funeral Home, and other times at the home.  The Celebration of Life Service will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 PM.

Interment will be at Edgecombe Memorial Park in Tarboro, immediately after the service.
