Amy Louise Vick, 69, passed away and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
She was born on November 3, 1956 to the late Dr. Henry V. Vick and Clonie Johnson Vick. She was a devoted and loving daughter, sister, aunt and mom to her beloved dog, Timmy.
Amy graduated with a BS in Nursing in 1979 from East Carolina University and Master of Divinity with Languages in 1989 from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. She enjoyed telling stories and loved caring for and sharing her faith with others. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church and served in many roles including deacon, Sunday School teacher and choir member.
She is survived by her sisters, Deborah V. Peters (Brookes) of Tarboro and Carol V. Crocker (W.H.) of Spring Hope; brother, Stephen V. Vick (Jamie) of Youngsville; nephews, Michael B. Peters (Meredith) of Tarboro, Dr. R. Daniel Peters (Melissa) of Raleigh, Andrew W. Crocker of Spring Hope, Thomas A. Crocker (Liz) of Cary, S. Ryan Vick (Amanda) of Youngsville, Landon J. Vick (Courtney) of New Bern; 3 great nieces and 7 great nephews; and extended family members.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 8, at 2:00 at First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church.
