Ann Thigpen Drake, 89, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018. Funeral service will be held Saturday, February, 24, 2018 at 2:00pm, Carlisle Funeral Home with the Rev. Carroll Bradbury officiating. Burial will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00pm on Saturday at Carlisle Funeral Home and other times at the home, 709 Gay St., Pinetops, N.C. Mrs. Drake was preceded in death by her parents, Wright Wiggins Walston and Margaret Corbett Walston; her husbands, William Thigpen and Allen Drake; siblings, Maggie Mae May, Mary Alice Weaver, Lois Phillips, Larry Walston, Claude Walston and Turner Walston. She is survived by her loving family, including her daughter, Mary Margaret Lynn; a grandson, Timmy Lynn and wife, Angel; 2 great-grandchildren, Destiny and Jalyn Lynn.
