Barbara Elizabeth Harris Coggins, 77, departed this Earth to be with her Lord and Savior on Sept. 29, 2018.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 in Pineview Cemetery, Pinetops, NC, with the Rev. Randy Holland officiating.

She was a loving mother, a devoted wife and a dear friend to all who knew and loved her.

Barbara was born in Pitt County on November 14, 1940 to the late James Earl Harris and Eunice Holloman Harris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Coggins; her oldest son, Rocky Coggins; brothers, E.J. Harris, Raymond Harris, Henry Harris, Linwood Earl Harris; and sister, Edna Harris.

She is survived by her youngest son Rudy, of Pikeville; sisters, Eunice Mae Bell, of Belvoir, Irene Nichols, of Conetoe, Pearline Hamm, of Tarboro, Wanda Suggs, of Rocky Mount, Kathy Bottoms, of Rocky Mount; and two brothers, Kenneth Harris and wife Barbara, of Tarboro; and Bruce Harris, of Rocky Mount; sister-in-law, Hazel Perkins, of Rocky Mount; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Susan G. Komen Foundation or a charity of choice in memory of Barbara.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00pm at Carlisle Funeral Home.
