Barbara Ann Braswell Langley, 86, went to be with the Lord on March 12, 2020.

Ann Langley was born in Nash County, NC on December 22, 1933 to Dana E Braswell, Sr. and Lillie Jones Braswell. After graduating from East Carolina College, she taught school for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading, traveling and dancing, especially the jitterbug.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Linwood R. Langley, Sr, her parents, brother, Dana Elsworth Braswell, Jr, and sisters, Jane Braswell Wood and Elizabeth Braswell Griffin. Ann is survived by her loving family, son, Linwood Ross Langley Jr.; daughter, Dana Langley Jares and her husband, David Jares; grandson Andrew Langley, grandson;  Eric Langley, his fiance Ali Garris; grandson, Josh Jares;  granddaughter, Jordan Jares and great granddaughter. Hunter Langley as well as her dearest friend and college roommate, Frances Williams and dear friend and caretaker, Faye Guill.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to mom's wonderful friends and family and to the wonderful staff at The Fountains at the Albemarle in Tarboro, NC.  Memorial contributions may be made in Ann's memory to the First Baptist Church at 605 N Main Street, Tarboro, NC  27886.  A private service will be held at a later date.
