Battle Brooks Webb, 91, passed away at his home on Sunday, February 22, 2026.

Visitation will be 11:00am – 12:00pm on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Carlisle Funeral Home with the service following in the chapel at 12:00pm. The burial will be private for family only.

Brooks was born on February 28, 1934, to Battle and Dorothy Webb. He married his high school sweetheart, Ellie Webb, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love and devotion. After more than 25 dedicated years of service, he retired from Carolina Telephone Company. A passionate sports enthusiast, Brooks enjoyed all sports, played golf every chance he had for many years, and generously shared his love of the game by coaching softball.

Brooks was preceded in death by his parents, Battle and Dorothy Webb; and his wife, Ellie Webb.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Shelby Allen; brother-in-law, William Harrell and his wife, Daphne Harrell; nieces, Jessica H. Lane (Jeremy) and Tiffany Melton (Aaron); and 3 great nephews, Lucas Roberts, Brady Melton, and Asher Melton.
