Betty Harrington Adkins, 80, passed from this life early this morning surrounded by her loving family.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am in the Chapel of Carlisle Funeral Home with Josh Coker officiating.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mary Berwick Harrington; sister, Bertie Harrington Betts; brother, Clarence Harrington, Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Carlton Ray Adkins; daughter, Sharon A. Raynor (Marvin), of Tarboro; son, Ricky L. Adkins (Donna), of Maysville; grandchildren, Michael Raynor (Valerie), Jason Raynor (Allison), Joshua Adkins, Candace Adkins; great-grandchildren, Mariah Raynor and Arielle Raynor.

The family will receive friends and relatives at Carlisle Funeral Home on Tuesday from 7:00-9:00pm, and other times at the home, 428 Fishing Creek Road, Tarboro, NC.
