Betty Jean Scianna of Creedmoor, NC  passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

She came into this world on January 28th,1954; she was 66 years old. She was born in Richmond County, NC in the town of Hamlet.

She was preceeded in death by her mother Doris Smith Lovin, father Jim Steen, sister Judy Steen and brother James Steen, and also her first husband Stanley McDuffie.

She leaves behind her Husband Stan Scianna and her son Chris of the home in Creedmoor NC. A daughter Kim Anderson (Jerry) and a son Richard McDuffie and three grandchildren; Shylah Felker-McDuffie, Steven McDuffie, and Autumn Anderson of Lincoln, NE. Also her sister Shirley Irvine (Kenneth) and three nieces Kerri, Kristian and Rebecca of Pinetops, NC. A Niece Jo Ellen of Chesnee, S.C. and nephew Frankie (Rowdy) Peach of Roxboro, NC. She also had 14 great nieces and nephews. Betty was much beloved by her mother and father in-law, Janice and Alexander Scianna, of Black Mt. NC. Also, two brothers in-law, Mike and David Scianna and a sister-in-law Kristy Scianna. A lifelong friend Teresa Howerton (Wilkins) and friend Renee Green, and her beloved Belgian Malinois Maxx.

She was a wonderful wife, homemaker, and a gourmet cook. Betty fought a long hard battle with cancer, but in the end the cancer won. She was never alone in her battle. In the end she was surrounded by the people she loved and loved her as well. Words cannot express the beauty of her personality, love of life, and how much she will be missed.
