Beverly Hope Gammon Whitehurst, 88, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 peacefully at her home with her loving family and friends by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, November 9, at Carlisle Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service on Friday at the Funeral Home and other times at the home of Mrs. Whitehurst.  Burial will follow in William & Mary Hart Presbyterian Churchyard, Leggett, NC.

She was born in Richmond, Va. on June 21, 1930.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Whitehurst, Sr.

She is survived by family which includes her sons, Ralph E. Whitehurst, Jr. and wife Chris, Taft Whitehurst and wife Tina, Buck Whitehurst, John Whitehurst; daughters, Elizabeth "Sis" Webb and husband Wayne, Ann Tripp and husband Steve; her many grandchildren, Renee Owens and husband Curtis, William Whitehurst, Adam Whitehurst, Lee Whitehurst, Ross Whitehurst and wife Kim, Bryant Webb and wife Lisa, Westley Webb, Timmy Whitehurst, Hunter Whitehurst, Abigail Whitehurst, Grace Whitehurst, Craig Tripp and wife Amanda, Whitney Whitehurst, Heather Whitehurst, John Ashley Whitehurst, great-grandchildren, Hailee, Hunter, Wyatt, Caleb, Trevor, Greyson, and Owen. The family would like to thank her caregivers.  A special thank you goes to Constance Williams, Christy Flores, Jennie Pollard and Annsley Coldwell for taking special care of our loved one.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Nash Hospice and Palliative Care, 2460 Curtis Ellis Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
