Billy G. Harris, 72, passed away peacefully at his home on April 7, 2022.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Carlisle Funeral Home with Reverend Reuben Batchelor and Reverend JR Harris. Burial will follow at Batchelor Family Cemetery.

Billy was born and raised on Harris Hill; where he spent a lot of his time on the porch with family and friends. Billy enjoyed going hunting, fishing, and playing Bingo. He loved spending quality time riding in the 18-wheeler with his son, spending time with his daughter Resa; and going with his sister Ruby to get a frosty from Wendy's. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Harris and Pearl Webb Harris; his wife, Peggy Elizabeth Davenport Harris; and his siblings, Gladis Pearl Leonard, Johnny Robert Harris, and Murray Eugene Harris.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel L. Harris; daughter, Teresa Renee (Resa) Harris Barnette; son, Timmy Harris and his wife, Melissa Harris, who was a very special loving daughter-in-law; his step-daughters, Kimberly Gardner and Keisha Long; grandchildren, Chris Perdue, Kayla Perdue, Torrie Edmondson, and Crystal Edmondson; great-grandchildren, Shane and Lea Perdue, Hayden and Raylynn Perdue, Landen, Bently, Paisley, Tranner and Isaih Gaskins; his siblings, Edward Harris and his wife Jean Harris, Bobby Lee Harris, and Ruby Respass and her husband Ellis; these four special men, Vance Parker, Randy Hollis, Billy James Harris, Jr, and Gene Harris that loved him like a dad; and many other loving family and friends.

A visitation will be from 6:00–8:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Carlisle Funeral Home and other times at Timmy's home at 111 S. 3rd Street, Pinetops, NC 27864.

The family request in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Carlisle Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
