Brenda Carol Coker (Aunt "B"), passed away peacefully on Friday, March 7, 2025 surrounded by her beloved family.

Brenda was born on June 25, 1946 in Edgecombe County to Washburn and Esther Coker.

Brenda was a mother to her many nieces and nephews, even though she never had children of her own. She was always there for them, her brothers and sisters, and many friends when the need arose. She was always ready and willing to lend a "helping hand" with no questions asked! She was a woman of many talents; crocheting, knitting, cooking, yard work, gardening, shopping for the best deals on groceries and doing for others. Due to her health declining in recent months, "hand quilting" became her favorite past time. During this time, she completed five hand stitched quilts for her family.

Brenda received her associates degree and later became the head instructor of the Cosmetology Department for both of Edgecombe Community College Campuses. She retired from this position with 30+ years of service.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Washburn T. Coker and Esther Kent Coker; brother, Maxie T. Coker; Sister-In-Law, Betty Jo Coker; Brother-In-Law, Leon Davis and two special nephews, Charles W. Coker Jr and JR Bulluck.

Brenda is survived by her sisters Rena C. Davis and Rose C. Webb (Al); brothers Charles W. Coker (Shirley); Randy L. Coker (Cindy); 10 nieces and nephews; 14 great nieces/nephews; 4 great great nieces/nephews; and a soon to be great great nephew. She will surely be missed by her "fur baby", Charlie Buck.

Even though it's sad, there is joy. Brenda touched everyone's life and we were all better for it!

A service will be held at Word of Life International Church, Wednesday March 12, 2025 at 2:00 pm with visitation prior to the service at 1:00 pm.
