Dudley "Brian" Etheridge, 46, passed away on August 14, 2024, at ECU Health. He was born on November 15, 1977, in Wilson, NC and resided in Macclesfield, NC.

Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bill and Peggy Wiggs, and his paternal grandparents, Paul "Duck" Etheridge and Lorene Courter (Jim).

He is survived by his significant other, Diana Etheridge; his son, Codie Etheridge; and his daughter, Shianna Stokes (Josh). He also leaves behind his mother, Mary Speight (Lee); his father, Dudley Etheridge (Rhonda); his sister, Allison Taylor (Jason); and his brothers, Michael Speight (Suzanne), Travis Speight (Monica), and Dustin Stocks (Ashley). Brian is also remembered by several aunts, nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs, Boonie and Ben.

A graduate of Southwest Edgecombe High School, Brian had a long career as a heavy equipment operator and enjoyed working outdoors. He loved cooking for his family and friends and was always the life of the party. A lifelong UNC Tarheel, Brian never met a stranger and truly lived life to the fullest.

In his final act of kindness, Brian, an organ donor, gave the gift of life to four strangers.  The family extends their gratitude to the medical staff at ECU Health and Honor Bridge for their care and support.

Funeral services will be graveside only Friday, August 23, 2024 at 2pm at Macclesfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Macclesfield Presbyterian Church, PO Box 247, Macclesfield, NC.
