Pinetops

Calvin Thomas "Tommy" Gardner passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018. He was born in Edgecombe County on March 31, 1948.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Levy and Emily Gardner and brothers L.D., Hilton and Larry.

Tommy is survived by his best friend Josie Strickland. His sons David Gardner and wife Toni from Sims, Kevin Gardner from Winterville and Kendall Strickland from Pinetops; Sisters Reba Pollard from Tarboro, Marie Brown from Wilson, Sue Harrell of Fountain, Nettie Gardner and Ann Cooper from Rocky Mount; Sisters-in-law Rachel Gardner of Pinetops and Carol Gardner of Kinston; multiple nieces, nephews, as well as several great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Tommy's life will be held in the chapel of Carlisle Funeral Home on Sunday November 4th, 2018. Visitation is at 2 pm, the Memorial is at 3pm. The family asks that donations to your favorite charity be made in Tommy's name in lieu of flowers.
