Carol Lou Ellis Owens, 81, passed away at home on Thursday, June 23, 2022.

She was a loving devoted Christian wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed staying at home, praying for her family, working in her yard with her plants and flowers.

She was preceded in her death by her father Dow Ellis, and mother Mattie Ellis.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years Wilton Gene Owens, her 2 daughters Tracy Owens Skinner of Greenville and Terry Owens Redding of Greenville. Sister, Jo Ann Ellis Tutor and husband Jimmie Tutor of Fuquay-Varina. Grandchildren: Andrew Skinner and wife Shannon Skinner of Greenville, their children, Ella Grace, Layton, and Eva Lynn. Steven Skinner and wife Caroline Skinner of Winterville, Carolina Kaitlyn Redding of Naples FL., and many nieces, nephews, close cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Carlisle Funeral Home in Tarboro, NC  The family will be receiving friends and family at the home.
