Carolyn Joyner Wilson, 80, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Edgecombe Memorial Park with the Pastor Walt Cooper officiating.

Carolyn was born on March 16, 1940 in Danville, VA to the late Joseph M. Joyner and Irene Riley Joyner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Walter J. "Bill" Wilson.

She is survived by her loving family which includes her daughter Penny Wilson-Madras and husband Michael; sons, Walter J. Wilson, Jr. and wife Marian, Allen W. Wilson and wife Jennifer; sister Jo Ann Pollard; nephew, Wayne Pollard and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Denise Walker (Daniel), Ryan Pridgen (Morgan), Kristen Wilson (Jerry), Ashleigh Wilson-Miles (Noah), Allen Michael Wilson (Jasmine), Jill Phelps (Todd), Matthew Madras (Sarah) Whitley Strickland (Jacob); and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 AM at Carlisle Funeral Home.
