Cathy Mitchell Marshall, 60, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

Cathy was born in Edgecombe County on August 26, 1962, to David Lee Mitchell and Billie Carol Wright Mitchell. She was a great mom and wife, and loved her family, church family, friends, and Tarboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Billie Mitchell; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lucille and Willis Marshall; and brother-in-law, Gary Scott.

Cathy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Earl Marshall of Tarboro; sons, Benjamin Marshall (Carrie) and Will Marshall; daughter, LaShelle Jackson (Travis) of Tarboro; grandchildren, Nora and Charley of Greenville, Aubrey and TJ of Rocky Mount; sisters, Carol Scott, Connie Taylor (Eddie) and Cindy Hunter (Bill) of Tarboro; brother, Clay Mitchell (Debbie) of Tarboro; sister-in-law, Susan Marshall of Morehead; special friend, Laurie Dupree Webb; special work family, Edgecombe County DA's office; 11 nieces and nephews and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service for Cathy will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 23, 2023, at Brentwood Pentecostal Holiness Church. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 until service time. Burial will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park.
