Cecil Lawrence Braddy, sadly left our world on January 15th, 2025 at the age of 71 in Greenville, North Carolina. Cecil was born on October 12th, 1953 in Scotland Neck, NC. He was a devoted truck driver for more than 40 years and he enjoyed every minute of it. Cecil was a dedicated, hardworking, and loving individual who always put the needs of others ahead of his own. He touched the lives of everyone he met with his kindness and twisted sense of humor.

Cecil was preceded in death by his parents Hazel Braddy and Bill Braddy; Brothers, Alton Braddy, Jimmy Braddy, Joe Braddy; Granddaughter, Taniya McNair.

He is survived by his sisters Edith Evans, Glenda Norris, and Carolyn Cooper; Children, Misty Whitfield (Doug), Wendy Boyette (Chad), Cecil Braddy Jr., Nikki Braddy (Jamell), Tiffany Shields (Deshawn); Grandchildren, Amanda Murphy, Eddie Bordeaux Jr., Courtney Bordeaux, Sarah Kate Boyette, Tyler Boyette, Orlando McNair Jr., Tramiyus McNair, Jayden Braddy, Nevaeh Hyman, Laila Shields, Sa'niyah Shields, Deshawn Shields Jr., Devon Braddy, Jeremiah Braddy, Nevaeh Braddy, Jordan Braddy, several great grandchildren; Partner, Sharon Bennett, her children and grandchildren who he loved as his own.

Visitation will be held at Carlisle Funeral Home on January 19th from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM with service starting at 2:00 PM.

Trucker's Prayer

Lord, please help me to be safe as I travel each mile. Let your presence guide me and bring me a smile. Take care of my family while I am away. Let them know I miss them each and every day. Steer me clear of danger as I drive these miles alone. I put my hands in yours, lord. Keep me safe, get me home.
