IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles Rodney
Dew
August 30, 1946 – August 14, 2022
Charles Dew, 75, lost his battle with cancer and entered his eternal home Sunday night. He is now rejoicing with his Mom, Dad and Brother and I'm pretty sure he going to be waxing his shagging shoes and sliding across the floor Wednesday night with the other great shaggers that have gone before him. As everyone that knew him, knew he loved shagging, loved teaching it 'the Charles way' and such an ambassador for the dance. Charles had a great love for his family and friends. For many years he and his son, Lil Charles enjoyed racing Late Model Stock Cars, Lil Charles driving and Charles turning the wrenches getting more speed. He owned and operated Dew's Garage for many years following in the footsteps of his father. Charles proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Thigpen "Tuck" and Mollie Dew; brother, Jerry Dew; brother-in-law, Jimmy Matthews.
He is survived by his loving family, including daughter, Mollie Page (Ray); son, Lil Charles (Danielle); sisters, Betty Kay Matthews, and Brenda Dew; grandchildren, Elisabeth Page, Makenzie Page, Katelyn Page, Brinkley Dew and Addison Dew; His Lady friend, Faye Hinton.
