Charles Allen West, 65, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2019.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2019, 11:00 am, Carlisle Funeral Home with Pastor Ricky Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park.

Charles was born on September 18, 1953, to Garland and Frances West of Tarboro.

Charles graduated from Tarboro High School.  After working in the family business at West's Furniture in Tarboro, he began working at Heritage Hospital in the Maintenance Department.  Soon after, Charles became a Biomedical Technician and later became Director of the Maintenance Division at Heritage Hospital. Charles was well known as the person to call when something needed fixing. Charles later went back to West's Furniture, where he retired in 2017.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brother, Tracy West.

Charles leaves behind to cherish his memory a loving family which includes his son, Kevin West and wife Shannon and grandchildren Trey West and Sara Grace West. A sister Carolyn West Hernandez and husband Tony of Alabama; Brothers Garland West Jr.; and Lindsey West of Tarboro; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Carlisle Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
