Charlotte Kelly Williams, 68, of Tarboro, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025 under palliative care in Greenville. She was born on April 7, 1957, in Morehead City, and lived a life marked by devotion to her family, career, creativity and faith.
Charlotte is survived by her mother, Katherine Marks Nowell; her father, Charles Thomas Kelly and wife, Sandra; her son, Jacob Hilton Williams and wife Amanda; her brother, Robert Neil Kelly and wife Mellonie and her sister, Ruth Kelly Curtis and husband Jim. She leaves behind three beloved grandchildren, Cameron Logan, Matthew Williams, and Jacob Williams Jr., as well as three nieces, Ashley Kelly Whitley (Justin), Kate Curtis Laughlin (Ryan), and Helen Curtis (Rob). She is also remembered by her two great-nieces, Ruby and Amelia Whitley, and her ex-husband, Mark Williams (Debbie).
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly Williams Logan; her maternal grandparents, Woodrow and Gertie Marks; her paternal grandmother, Kathleen Kelly; and her uncle, Robert Williams (Rhea).
Charlotte dedicated much of her life to her work, spending 14 years as a florist, where she shared her creativity and love for beauty, and 25 years processing insurance, where she served others with diligence and care. Her faith was central to her life, and she was a member of Newspring Church in Florence, South Carolina, and in more recent years an attendee of St. James Methodist Church in Tarboro.
Charlotte will be remembered for her love of crafts, her devotion to family, and her steadfast spirit. Her legacy lives on in the lives of those she loved and nurtured.
In accordance with her wishes and those of the family, we request no flowers, please. Gifts in Charlotte's honor may be donated to St Jude's Children Hospital. The family will have a private graveside service.
