Christine Doughtie Anderson, 86, died Thursday at her home with her family at her side.

Christine was born in Edgecombe County to Arthur and Julia Briley on October 3, 1934. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Ray Doughtie, Jr.

She is survived by her loving family, including her husband of 14 years, Doug Anderson; daughters, Betty Moseley and Ruby Bullock; niece, Kathy Alford and other nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 2:00 pm, Mildred Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Saturday.
