Obituary

Mrs. Christine Ann Adcock passed away peacefully on March, 15th, 2021 at the age of 55.

Christie was born on February 27th, 1966 and raised in Tarboro, NC. She was preceded in death by her Father, Charles Sherrick, Sr., Father-in-law, Pop Adcock, her Pulley and Sherrick Grandparents, and her Aunt, Ann Pulley Council, whom she was named after.

Christie had a larger than life personality, she never mastered the art of using her "inside voice"! She loved her family so much and her friends were so special to her and she loved them all.

One of her favorite things to do was read. She was academically gifted and won awards for speed reading. In the 8th Grade, she was able to read 1800 words a minute with an 97% comprehension rate. She was also a history buff! She loved anything that had a story to tell. Her dream was to travel to Egypt and walk in the Valley of Kings.

Christie enjoyed spending time at the family cottage on the Pamlico River. The Fourth of July celebrations were her favorite. Pig Pickin's and ending the day with fireworks on the pier. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She always made sure her family got everything they wanted. Seeing the joy on their faces filled her heart with happiness.

She is survived by her husband, Lynn Adcock. Her sons, Justin Adcock (Jessica), Tyler Adcock (Jessica) and Joshua Adcock. Her Mother, Judith Pulley Sherrick. Brother, Charles Sherrick, Jr (Cindy), Five beautiful grandchildren, Jayden, Jillian, Jaxtin, Liam and Maggie Grace Adcock. Cousins, Terri Council Baker and Kimberly Council, Jordan Baker (Macy) and Logan Baker Willis (Joseph), Sister-in-law, Penny Moots (Charles), and a host of nephews and nieces, great nephews and great nieces.

Visitation with the family is from 10am-11am, Friday, March 19th, 2021 at Edgecombe Memorial Park Mausoleum. Funeral service to follow with the Reverend Lee Specht and Pastor Paul Mobley officiating.
