Our beloved son and brother, Christopher James Floyd, left this earth after a long and difficult battle with Huntington's Disease. A fighter until the end, he passed away on May 21, 2022 at the age of 38.

Chris was born on August 26, 1983, the son of Donnie Floyd and Sherri Demery Chilton. He is survived by his mother, Sherri Demery Chilton and her husband, Brian Chilton; his brothers, Michael Floyd and his wife Brandi, Steven Floyd and his wife Brittany, his sisters, Candi Demery and Casey Demery; nieces and nephews, Ashlynn, Farryn, Noah, Cole, Liam, Jackson, Dallas, Lilliana, Ebba, Ava, Logan and Joseph.

From a young age Chris knew he wanted to do two things: serve the Lord and join the Military. His life was dedicated in all ways to bring light to others with his spirit and smile. Helping others find Jesus as their lord and savior. Chris spent time completing courses in the ministry in the Church of God in his early adult life.

From 2001 to 2005 Chris served in the United States Air Force. During his active duty, Chris received acknowledgment with the armed forces by way of medals including: National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, Expeditionary Service Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal.

Services to be held at Carlisle Funeral Home in Tarboro on Saturday June 4. Visitation at 1:00pm proceeded by a Service at 2:00pm.
