Claude M.
Randolph, Jr
November 30, 1938 – April 25, 2026
Claude McDonald “Mac” Randolph, Jr., born November 30, 1938, passed away Saturday, April 25th surrounded by the love of his family. He was a man of faith and shared his love of Jesus with everyone he came in contact with until his last breath. Mac was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Mae Cooper Randolph and Claude McDonald Randolph, Sr., as well as his only brother, Paul Carey Randolph.
Mac is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Brenda Barnhill Randolph; his beloved little dog, Stella; his best girl Silvia; his only son, Claude McDonald “Tripp” Randolph, III; his daughter-in-law, Yvette Warner Randolph; and his three grandsons, Claude McDonald Randolph IV, John Morgan Randolph, and Payton Warner Randolph.
Mac dedicated many years of service as Accounts Payable Manager at Barnhill Contracting Company in Tarboro, North Carolina. He proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard and later in the United States Navy before earning his degree from Atlantic Christian College in Wilson, North Carolina.
Mac found joy in many things throughout his life. He loved traveling, boating, collecting knives and guns, and spending time “piddling” in his shop. Above all else, however, Mac treasured time spent with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his steady presence, his love of life, and the many memories he created with those who knew him.
A service to celebrate Mac’s life will be held Tuesday, April 28, at 11:00 a.m. at Leigh Oaks in Conetoe. A lunch reception will follow at the Barnhill Farm. The family asks that colorful attire, rather than the typical dark dress, be worn to honor the man who fought the good fight and finished the race.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Transitions LifeCare Hospice. Gifts may be made by phone at 919-828-0890 or mailed to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circl, Raleigh, NC 27607.
Mac’s legacy of love, loyalty, faith, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
