Crystal Ann Travis, 57, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 2, 2022.
She did not wish to have a funeral but there will be a visitation Saturday, April 9 from 11-12:30pm at Carlisle Funeral Home in Tarboro.
Crystal was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Wayne Travis, and brother, Todd Manning.
She is survived by her parents Willis and Doreen (Finch) Manning, daughter Brittany Anne (Travis) Appell and husband Josiah, stepson Michael Wayne Travis Jr., stepdaughter Candice Marie (Travis) Walker, her granddaughters Gretchen, Julie, Leah, Deanna, Katherine, Susan, Trinity, and Kristy, her seven great-grandchildren.
Crystal was born on January 7, 1965, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, to Willis and Doreen (Finch) Manning. Crystal accepted Christ as her personal Savior at a young age. Growing up she could be found working at her parent's restaurant the Suburban Grill. Crystal was known for her desire to care for and help people which led her to attend Edgecombe Community College for a nursing degree. She worked as a nurse for over 30 years until she retired in 2018. She was a strong woman who won her battle against breast cancer in 2012 and survived interstitial lung disease after being diagnosed with it in 2018. Crystal and her husband Michael loved to travel together. Crystal was a faithful friend, good listener, and a dedicated wife, mother, and daughter.
