Daisy Marie Strickland was born on October 3, 1934 in Edgecombe county to Johnnie and Addie Batts.

Visitation will be at 1:00 - 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Carlisle Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Strickland, son in law Dale Smith and multiple siblings.

She is survived by her loving family which includes Gail Allen (daughter) and husband S.L., Teresa Proctor  (daughter) and husband Ronnie, Julie Smith (daughter); grandchildren Leonard Allen and wife Candace, Candace Alston and husband Brooks, James Webb and wife Pam, Shena Proctor, Jessica Reed, Krystal Kimrey and husband Justin; great-grandchildren Caleb and Brody Allen, Reid, Ryder, Brooklyn and Eli Alston, Elaina Reed, and Joseph Proctor; and sister, Rachel Boseman.

Daisy was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her Pepsi.

She loved being around her family and would always make sure everyone knew she loved them as soon as they walked in the door. Her beautiful smile lit up the room. Her memory will live on through her family.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Carlisle Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Flora officiating the service. Burial will follow at Edgecombe Memorial Park.
