Daisy Lee Pittman, 90, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023.

Funeral service will be at Carlisle Funeral Home on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 2:00 PM.

Daisy was born in Edgecombe County, July 14, 1932 to Charlie and Rosa Summerlin. She enjoyed life, family, friends and always had a smile on her face. She loved working in the yard and riding around with Johnny. She loved going to church and loved her church family. She loved having her family around for big meals, conversation, and laughter. She lived a very blessed life. She will greatly be missed by all her family, friends, and anyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Johnny H. Pittman; a grandson, Chris Poole; her brothers, Jack, Thomas, James, Frank, Willie, and Yates Summerlin; sisters, Mammie Reason, Doris Newcombe and Margie Lamm; and son in law, Lenward Jones.

She is survived by her loving family which includes her daughters, Jean Pittman Greene and Sharon Pittman Jones; son, Greg Pittman and wife Scarlett; grandchildren, Johnny Ray Bell (Marie) and Teresa Bell; bonus grandchild, Rachel Olander; step grandchildren, Michael Jones (Dawn) and Wesley Jones (Karen); several great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; and great great great grandchildren. Sisters, Annie Mae Crumpler and Beatrice Webb; and brothers, Clifton Summerlin and Melvin Summerlin.
