Mrs. Daphne Lynn Ellis, age 67 of Tarboro, passed away at Vidant Hospital in Greenville.

Daphne was a member of the American Postal Union Workers, member of the New Grace Baptist Church and helped in the Card Ministry at the church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Dennis Ellis; mother Virginia "Bug" Bullock Savage and father George "Gran" Savage; sisters Marsha Hyde and Sonji Driver.

Daphne is survived by her son Jeffrey Charles Ellis and wife Lenie, of Greenville; two daughters, Vicki Ellis of the home and Kelly Ward of Rocky Mount; one sister, Sharon Savage of Tarboro, and 5 grandchildren.

A Celebration of Daphne's Life will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Michael Barnett officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. The interment will be at Edgecombe Memorial Park after the service.
