David "Happy" Cooper, 79, passed away Monday.

Funeral service will be held on Friday at 2:00pm at Carlisle Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery with Military rites.

David proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

He is survived by his loving family, including his daughters, Angela C. Harrington, Teresa "Sissy" Cooper and Shelia C. Hucks; grandchildren, Chelsa Harrington, Ashley Cooper, Heather Hucks, Logan Claiborne and her husband, Brandon, Alexia Evans, Cameron Hucks and Graceson Harrington; great-grandchildren, Andrew Harrington, Lilee Grace Claiborne, Karmyn Jenkins, Dawson Claiborne and Milee Joyner.

The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 – 2:00pm at Carlisle Funeral Home, Tarboro.
