Davis "Buck" Earl Purvis, 85, passed away on Wednesday, October 04, 2017. A graveside service will be held at 2:30pm on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Spring Green Cemetery in Robersonville, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sarah Furlough Purvis; sister, Norma Davis; step-son, Joseph Rhodes. Buck is survived by a daughter, Connie Perkins and husband Kevin, of Tarboro; stepsons, Tim Rhodes, of Raleigh, David Rhodes, of Pennsylvania; brothers, Billy Purvis, of Conetoe, Rufus Purvis, of Greenville, Bobby Purvis, of Grimesland; grandchildren, Christopher Rhodes, Daniel Rhodes, Gabrielle Rhodes, Tyler and Kaitlyn Perkins, Shannon Williamson, Amber Dowdy, Caleb Rhodes; and several great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives at Carlisle Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00-2:00pm.
