Dennis Raney Harris, 81, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017. Funeral services will be held at Tarboro Church of God on Tuesday, November 28, at 7:00pm with the Rev. Sammy Wood and Rev. Mike Robbins officiating. The family will be receiving friends and relatives on Tuesday at Tarboro Church of God from 5:00-7:00pm.

The family will also be receiving friends from 1:00-2:00pm at Blacksburg Church of God on Thursday, November 30, in Blacksburg, SC, with the burial following at 2:00pm in Mountain View Cemetery, Blacksburg.

Dennis was preceded in death by his first wife, Jackie Harris; brothers, Gene Harris, Howard Harris, Junior Harris; sister, Deloris Jackson, Shirley Childers.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife, LaRue Preslar Harris; daughter, Denise Hall and husband Larry, of Grover, NC; step-daughter, Meta Wood and husband Bishop Sammy, of Tarboro, Hanna Brown and husband Randy, of Zebulon, Andrea Robbins and husband Rev. Mike, of Tarboro; sister, Joyce Vance of Sacramento, CA, grandchildren, Madison and Tanner Gallman; step-grandchildren, Corey Myers, Sam Wood, Nicole Meares, Thomas Robbins, John Robbins and Hayley Robbins.
