Mr. Dennis Bullock Satterthwaite, age 70, of Tarboro, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2022 at his daughter's home in Williamston.

Mr. Satterthwaite was born on April 2, 1952 to the late Eugene Powell and Sallie Bullock Satterthwaite in Tarboro, NC. He grew up in the Coakley community. He was the younger brother of Curtis Satterthwaite, who was loving and supportive. Dennis attended North Edgecombe High School and graduated Class of 1970. He then joined many in his family as a farmer. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He loved nothing more than to spend time with his daughter and grandson. Mr. Satterthwaite possessed a true servant's heart. He served at his church, Nahalah Presbyterian, and could often be found visiting or assisting others with transportation or errands in the community. He will be deeply missed by those that knew him.

Mr. Satterthwaite is survived by his daughter, Sarah Satterthwaite Mizelle and her husband Brian of Williamston; grandson, Grayson Mizelle of Williamston; brother, Curtis Eugene Satterthwaite and his wife Marlene of Dover, DE; two nieces, Jennifer Satterthwaite Truesdale and her husband Shelby of Camden, DE, and Lori Ketter and her husband Zack of Maple Valley, WA; three great nephews, Collin Truesdale and Alex Truesdale of Camden, DE and Nate Ketter of Maple Valley, WA; and one great niece, Brooklynn of Maple Valley, WA; and a multitude of cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Nahalah Presbyterian Church at 11890 Hwy 258S, Scotland Neck, NC 27874.

A Celebration of his Life will be held in the Carlisle Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM.

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 6:00-8:00 PM.
