Donald Ray Lynch, 88, passed away on Monday, September 11th, 2023 at his home in Tarboro.

Donald was born on June 6th, 1935, to Frank and Martha Lynch. Donald was a friendly, hard working family man, who was passionate about making new friends with whom he enjoyed carrying on conversations with. In addition, he was a faithful Baptist who lived his life in the honor of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother Ronald, and brothers Frank Lynch Jr. and Douglas Lynch; his sisters Cindy Ruffin, Louise Denny, Sarah Fields, and Gassie Lynch; his son Tony Ray Lynch, his great-granddaughter Olivia Grace McKenzie, and his loving wife of 61 years, Mattie Ruth Lynch. Donald is survived by his loving family, including his daughter Debra Clark and her husband Joe, and daughter-in-law Rita Lynch; his grandchildren Salem Alexandria and her wife Amie, Matthew Clark, Kenny Lynch and his wife Kristina, Jennifer Lynch and her boyfriend Ryan Ellis; his great-grandchildren Lenzie McKenzie, Kinsley Lynch, and Mark McKenzie III.

A visitation will be held at Carlisle Funeral Home Friday, September 15th, 2023 from 6 to 8 pm. In addition, a celebration of Donald's Life will be held graveside at Edgecombe Memorial Park in Tarboro at 11 am Saturday, September 16th, 2023.
