Donna Caverly Harrell, 63, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of June 7, 2024.

Memorial service will be at 3:00 PM on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Carlisle Funeral Home Chapel.

She was born in Flint, Michigan to William and Dorothy Caverly. After graduating high school, she attended East Carolina University and went on to work in logistics management. She married her high school sweetheart, Samuel Harrell Jr. and went on to have one daughter, Hannah. While successful in her career, the place she really shined was in her relationships with those she loved. She was a devoted wife and mother, an affectionate Mimi, and a loving sister and friend. Upon retirement, Sam and Donna moved home to North Carolina to fulfill their dream of living at the beach.

Her biggest joy in life was her daughter and her three grandchildren whom she loved fiercely. She was thoughtful, always thinking ahead and considering how she could care for her people. She is deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy, her sister Alice, and her father-in-law, Samuel Harrell Sr.

She is survived by her loving husband, Sam; her daughter and son-in-law, Hannah and Chuck; her grandsons, Charlie, Winslow, and Dane; her sisters, Lynn, Carol (Randy), and MaryAnn (John); her mother-in-law, Shirley Harrell; her sister-in-law, Beth (Scott), and many special nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2:00 - 3:00 PM on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Carlisle Funeral Home.
