Donnie Jay Grady born July 19,1980 of Nashville NC, passed away on 12/12/23 peacefully while holding the hand of his wife Nicole. In his passing he was able to give life to several people by the donation of his heart, liver, and kidneys.

Donnie's personality was infectious. He had a charisma about him. To know him was to love him. He never met a stranger. He adored his children and even children that weren't his. He loved going on "adventures" from Carolina Hurricanes hockey games, ECU football & baseball games, driving in Buxton on the beach, deep sea fishing with his in-laws or just Starbucks and TJ Maxx runs with his wife he was always ready to go. He loved movies especially Christmas ones, he'd watch them in July. He could quote every word to every episode of The Office and I'm sure he'd have a one liner to insert here. He knew how to light up a room without trying and make people laugh without hesitation. His smile was one you'd never forget.

He loved his job. His knowledge in HEPA filtration and the ability to ramble off specs was remarkable. He worked many long hours to ensure the ability to make pure products to help patients.

He left behind his wife Nicole Grady, his sons Coleson, Jayden and Brantley Grady, his daughter Kadence Grady, his parents Donald and Veronica Grady, his brother Brian Grady, his wife Lauren and his niece Sasha.

Donnie Jay Grady will be remembered as a dedicated hardworking man who loved his wife and children immensely.  He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with him.

The family will receive friends at 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Carlisle Funeral Home.
